But like, if you were walking or riding a bike, uphill would definitely not be easier.
yes, sure. but by definition there are just opposits. they don't talk about actual hills, that's why your example doesn't work. it goes downhill = bad stuff gonna happen. uphill = good stuff gonna happen. riding a bike uphill is a downhill =D
