[ABA] Roster List + Free Agency Info

Hello everyone, below is the complete roster for the ABA (Alphabet Boxing Association)

First, thanks to everyone who participated. For those who were left out, you will have another shot to join a league when we announce the next draft. Here’s a couple of things for those of you who weren’t there to know:

  • 32 is a terrific idea at this point. When we have an app or some computer program that enables us to do automatic drafting, it will be a great idea given the depth of the sport. Right now, to do even the 18 we had in IRC was difficult. Aside from the errors I had made not having things clear, lag played a big role and may have swayed a few bids. It’s unavoidable at this point, but it was fair enough.
  • It is very important that you are present for the auction so I’ll do away with the rule of allowing people to participate via proxy.

###FREE AGENCY

Free agency begins Sunday Morning at 9 AM PDT. All fighters must be bid on by Monday 12 PM PDT. Free agency closes Monday night/Tuesday morning at 12 AM PDT.

This is to ensure nobody tries to sneak their bids in at 11:58 to prevent anyone from bidding.

How it works:

  1. To sign a fighter, you must start a bidding for him. Create a new text post and title it [ABA FREE AGENCY] Boxer Name

  2. In the self post state your opening bid. Those who wish to bid can reply.

  3. The minimum bid is 175k and you must raise each bid by a minimum of 50k.

  4. After Tuesday at 12 AM PDT, there will be no more bids accepted. The fighter goes for the highest bid.

###TRADING

There are multiple ways to make trades. One is to message another promoter and ask them if they want to make a trade. Neither promoter can exceed the salary cap of 64 million in a trade.

No trades will be processed and made official till Saturday morning. That will be the only time trades are processed, but they can be submitted at any time.

###RELEASING/DROPPING

You may release or drop any fighter you want if you can’t trade them. You can sell them back to the bank for an arbitrary figure. 55% of their salary if they’re coming off a win or draw 40% if they’re coming off a loss.

They will be processed with free agents.

###SCORING Expect scores to be posted sometime this week. I'm still getting used to scoring it manually and have to go through a checklist each time. All of Saturday's fighters were eligible.

Thanks to everyone who participated, I hope you had fun during the auction. As I’ve stated before, this is the first draft of this. In fact, this is beta 0.1. I’ve learned a ton and I’m looking at everything you guys say so that this can be perfected. I developed everything on my own, I’ve used you guys as resources to improve on the design and do something new.
