I've been eyeballing this project for a few weeks, and you just made my night. Thank you, you brilliant, kind person!

This is awesome, kudos for opening it up. Not sure if you're aware, but you should enter this in the Hackaday Prize (I have no affiliation). The 1st price is $200K or a trip to space:

If you could figure out that bluetooth that would be great.

I would love to use this with zombies run app.

Yeah that's my next task, but I probably won't get a chance for a while due to uni work piling up

Stop your job as a unicorn and get to it!

I will definitely make one of these, its still bad ass.

Good luck. I've come to hate working with Bluetooth with the way Bluez 4 and 5 are massively different from each other and broken in their own unique ways.

Your schematic link is broken: http://jared.geek.nz/oshw-oled-watch/files/OLED-Watch-Schematics.pdf

Do you plan on revisiting the PCB to fix your bugs?

Fixed! Apparently my URLs are case-sensitive...

I do want to make a Rev3 PCB, but I really want to test the bluetooth first so I know that it's working. I'll post an update to r/electronics when I've got something ready, but it might not be for a few months yet.

Looks awesome man.

I downloaded the gerbers to play around a bit and was instantly frustrated when I imported it. It's a pain moving between pcb editing software. What software did you design the board in? I use Diptrace.

Also, did you design in a massive copper pour on the top side? I'm not sure if it imported wrong, because it looks like it's not connected to anything.

I wanted to see if I could reroute your LCD to your original orientation. I do a ton of 2 sided board design/building and want to help out!

FYI your schematic link appears to be broken too.

Fixed the schematic link!

I used Altium for designing the Schematics/PCB (Sorry, I should have used something open-source for this...)

If you look at the OLED-Watch-PCB.pdf file you'll see how it's supposed to look when you import it. The copper pour should be connected to ground.

Let me know if you make any progress fixing the LCD orientation! Keep in mind the bits also needed to be flipped, so it'd make sense to undo that.

Not many people can afford an Altium license, so the utility is somewhat limited.

Yes I should probably have used an open-source package, but Altium is what I know. Hopefully the schematics can provide inspiration to others attempting similar projects.
