HerO and Trap have been doing basically the exact same thing except going phoenix instead of void rays. It's so fun to blind counter muta switches and get some ridiculous mobility on the map with it.
I'm not sure if it's the maps now or what but 2 stargate phoenix follow ups are becoming viable again, and that used to be my favorite thing in the world to do in WoL so I'm super happy it's coming back.

HerO / Traps variation doesn't work though :P its way too greedy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWrGXA7agf4 going FFE and dropping stalkers instead of sentries delays your 3rd nexus so much that even lings off a gasless opener can deny it xD Not to mention you'll die to any speed roach agression if you don't know what you're doing and blindly make phoenix.
herO's variation is a much more middle of the road build and something I would recommend.

I saw these games one after the other, and CJHero's build looked much sharper and safer than LiquidHerO's build, I agree that CJHero's is much cleaner easier to use and less flashy but more stable.

Also I should mention when you open sentries you can get a hallucination out to see exactly what he's doing (the drop kinda does that too, not sure if you mentioned that in your video) so you can know when to switch to void rays instead of just blindly going phoenix.

I don't know what HerO was doing that game. He always drops sentries instead of stalkers. Watch his games vs NesTea from MLG (I also saw him do it on stream a lot). Unfortunately the games where Trap did it at MLG were not broadcasted so the VODs aren't up, however he destroyed HyuN with it until he messed up a late game engagement while not taking a 4th (which shows why the build isn't the cause).
I've also been having good success with it on ladder.
