[Executive Action 002] Succession

Fellows, Citizens, Foreign Nationals, and Friends of Fellowship:

Today I am announcing my inactivity. This is due in most part to preparing for college, as well as the fact that I do not want any distractions while I get used to the new routine, surroundings, etc. I’ve been planning this period of inactivity for around 6 months now, though I have only let a few select members know recently. This inactivity will hopefully be temporary but in case it isn’t I’d like to announce my plans for you all.

To begin I name the following person to serve in my position while I am away:

• Acting Sovereign Diarch: sintralin

I am choosing sintralin as the acting Sovereign Diarch due to her previous actions as a citizen, Fellow, and Representative Diarch (July/August). She has proven able to keep to her word, has shown that she is a capable leader, and has a good general knowledge of the server. She was also able to successfully integrate the IDF players when they first joined the server. While she may still be fairly new to the server I trust her to make the correct decisions to keep Fellowship on-track for the future.

To those who may disagree with my choice for leadership while I am away:

I ask that you trust me with my choice. I wouldn’t have been able to create Fellowship from scratch without doing at least a few things correctly (and having a great set of friends/advisors). I back my choice 100% in this matter, I would not leave Fellowship under the command of someone who I believe would be unable to do what is needed or who is incompetent. I ask that you all give this a chance and stay with us through this period.

Furthermore, a new election will be hosted for Representative Diarch of Fellowship for the month of August. The nomination period will begin today (August 1st). Nominations will end on August 4th and elections will begin. The new diarch will be voted in by August 9th.

I will still (hopefully) be around to guide and make passive aggressive comments. Below you’ll find a timeline of (in)activity. I wish you all the best of luck while I’m away!

August 1st (Today): Announce Inactivity (Reddit and Mumble still possible)

August 17th: Return for part of the day (will be on/off and busy for the most part) (Reddit and Mumble still possible)

August 19th: Move-in day for College, expect more or less radio silence until late August (Aug. 26th)/September 1st (Reddit possible, Mumble not likely)

Late August/September 1st: Announce plans for returning or name a permanent Sovereign Diarch to take my place.
