Are our OS just all on holiday or something? It's taking them ages to get stories out. Still haven't got official word on Zucilini signing, nor Lampard
could be something, could be nothing, but www.nycfc.com has just had an overhaul, and www.melbournecityfc.com.au now exists, so it's altogether possible the website folks have a bit of a backlog. Still as important as the women's team doing judo undoubtedly is, I'd have thought Frank bleedin' Lampard might have been higher up the list of priorities.
Wigan is a good move for him, they play good football under Uwe.
Anyway, another good loan move for Huws here and playing under Uwe will put him in good stead for a return to City.
There are thoughts that perhaps he's gone off on loan to get some football whilst Lampard is here and then when he comes back in January he slots into the team.
2 year deal is a nice commitment for us aswell for a promising player. I summed it very nicely on the OS:
It's another step up for him in terms of expectation and the Championship is a tough league at the best of times. He'll be carefully watched to se if he can fit in anywhere.
If Yaya goes to ACON then he should see a decent amount of minutes when he's back. Not sure whether a Fernando Fernandinho midfield would work too well.
It would be fine, Fernandinho is more than capable of playing Yaya's role, its what he did at Shakhtar when he came to everyones attention.
Fernando obviously isn't gonna struggle defensively. Not forgetting Milner can play centrally and Zuculini could be there too, with 'dinho playing his usual position, so we won't really need him much more than when Yaya is back. It's like going from 5th choice to 4th.
With Yaya and Lampard gone surely he will be joint third choice with Zuculini. Milner has never really played well in the middle for us.
I actually expect Zuculini to be preferred to Huws this year simply because he's older and more experienced, but I'm very excited about both players. With luck, they'll be our premier midfield pairing in a few years.

Wait, you write for the City website?
Yeah I wondered the same, but the quote is from Vieira so I assume that one was a typo unless devineman all along has been Patrick, putting people right about FFP in between managing the EDS.
Yes, I am Patrick Vieira.
^^^^^^^^I ^^^^^^^^am ^^^^^^^^not ^^^^^^^^Patrick ^^^^^^^^Vieira.
Things written in small letters doesn't count!
