427AM Explosion?
So here I am in capilano Edmonton minding my own business at 4:00 in the morn when this ear piercing explosion come from my window, I was almost convinced the refiners blew and I was about to be engulfed in flame. Did anyone else hear this noise? And after thinking about it it may have been a sonic boom from a military jet. Idk am I just crazy?

I've heard something like that once and it turned out to be an overloaded transformer at a power station. Sounded like a bomb detonated though. I'm sure your explosion was something harmless as well.
Well my limbs are intact, just really wanting to know what that sound was it was so other worldly, just before the boom there was a screeching sound for 5-8 seconds and after it was a deafening roar that slowly faded.
