www1.skysports.com“Young Markovic had two or three other clubs waiting to take him, clubs where he had mates from his international team. But he wanted to come to Liverpool."
I'm guessing that's City, right?

Or Chelsea.

Ah yeah, more like Chelsea as they've been sniffing around him for ages (and hes a Chelsea fan supposedly).

We need that striker though!

I think it's a combination of a few important factors:
-
We now have CL to offer.
-
The other clubs we are competing with for players like Markovic (young, exciting players just on the cusp, but not stars yet) can choose between a club like ours that will be very competitive in all competitions where they will get many appearances in league and European matches or they can go to City or Chelsea or Bayern or Madrid or Barcelona or PSG etc and sit on the bench for a couple seasons.
-
Rodgers has shown that he can turn young players into top talents.
-
Club reputation.

The comments on that article are utter AIDS

And? United have been getting snubbed by top talent for years, as have Chelsea and Arsenal. Or did we just forget that because they signed a few other players?

Sanchez :(

I think Markovic at his peak will eclipse Sanchez
Here's hoping he stays with us for his peak :)
