Cafe Pyrus is a great spot downtown Kitchener, it's right across St.Charles terminal.

Having frequented many, depends on your tastes.

Matter of Taste has a huge open table for you to spread out at. Coffee Culture has big tables and easy access to outlets. There is always various Starbucks within reach (fairway, uptown Waterloo). I don't suggest Williams as there isn't any outlets widely available. The reason I have picked these ones is because they all have free wifi as well.
