I'd say the majority just buy ready made smokes. My dad used to smoke rollies so I guess I picked it up from him. I think a lot of people just can't be bothered rolling whenever they want a smoke. But I prefer the taste of rollies - smoother and less chemically-tasting.
A couple of my friends smoke rollies, and I knew a guy in university who did, but I think it was because he was a hipster trying to be cool. I'd say older white men would probably be the largest demographic for smoking hand-rolled cigarettes.
I'm studying in France atm and I would say that 70% of the students here roll their own cigarettes which is nice compared to the US where almost no one rolls.
Also, it seems like just about everybody here smokes so I haven't even had to buy a lighter, I can go up to literally anyone and ask!
this is wonderful, except i prefer hand-rolled cigs
Where are you from?
New Holland, aka Australia.
Oh, wow. Cool. I'm always curious about this sort of thing in other countries. Tell me, do many people roll their cigarettes in there?
