Prog Album of the Week - Week 57 (10/13/2014): Genesis - A Trick of the Tail

As always, we encourage participation from everyone - if you've never heard the album, there's a YouTube link provided! Go check it out and report back!

Welcome to the fifty-seventh week of r/progrockmusic's Album of the Week! Last week we discussed Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here and that was lovely.

If you'd like to peruse previous weeks' discussions, please visit the archive.

Peter Gabriel's gone for good, and that leaves Phil as the main man. Good ol' Phil.

####Potential Discussion Questions:

• Most of the compositions are credited to Banks and Rutherford (totally unsurprising). Now that Gabriel's gone, how do you like the compositions? What about the differences in the vocals between Gabriel and Collins?

• Has anyone confirmed Steve Hackett's presence on the album? Was he actually in a coma during the recording? Did Tony Banks murder Steve Hackett?

• How would you personally rate the album?

• Are there any moments on the album you consider particularly strong or particularly weak (i.e., favourite/least favourite moments)?
