PowerGamer.co allowed me to write a piece involving GamerGate. Thank them by giving them views.

They are a small publication. I don't need Karma. I just want to get them views. I made one ok 2 grammar error(s) in it, see if you can find it, and feel free to ridicule me here for it.

Shouldn't People who Criticize Games be Gamers?

They have a ton of other content and are also looking for contributors. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy the piece and be sure to thank them for allowing such a piece to be published.

Edit: I really need to proof read better. But in my defense I wrote this thing like 5 times before I finally got the tone I wanted.

They are putting out quality content frequently and without a source of ad revenue. This site is going to the top of my bookmarks.

Behind the scenes is hectic, but a few good contributors are pumping out a lot of great content. The Authors and Editor also do a fine job of relaying anything they need for us to get. I'm not sure I am supposed to say this yet, but there was an interview with The Fine Young Capitlists in the works. I'm not sure if it is going to happen, but I am sure it will be a good piece if it does.

That would be nice. Getting out in the field and doing interviews is exactly what they need to set themselves apart as a serious contender in the reforming mainstream gaming press.

I would personally love to do an interview. But it's one of those things, you have to be relevant to be taken seriously. Never wanting to be relevant, and then realizing that I still have a taste, and love, for writing, I wanted to get in on what I was interested in. It is a catch 22. Hopefully not one I will regret.

Your two mistakes:

So much unnecessary capitalism

"As well as the 18-25" is not a complete sentence

"We are Gamers" needs a period

"acceptable color Mammal* is gamergate" you're missing a word here

'it's Culture" should be "its Culture"

Heterosexual is one word, why would you capitalize it twice.

"But Gamers felt things where off. " You said where instead of were.

"that's better journalist" should be journalists or journalism

same with the next use of the word "journalist"

"here is a moment where, a normal white man" has no comma in it "Buzz words that, society fears." also has no comma in it

Also your overall use of semi colons, colons, commas, and other puncuation is pretty atrocious even when it's not technically incorrect.

Sorry, but I wouldn't want to read a publication that looks this sloppy. They need to hire an editor or only accept editorials where the author could be bothered to proofread their own work.

Calling someone Leigh Alexander isn't an insult. As a matter of fact, let's face the facts. She's a good writer. Else the emphasis on the pieces she writes wouldn't be perceived the way they are.

Now, calling someone an 'asshole' for calling someone else by another name, shows some character of yourself. I would really take a long, hard, look at your ability to remove your opinion from other peoples words. That's how you make serious mistakes on behalf of a group.

To the subject at hand. It's was a 17 minute old, 1, post account. That was meant as bait. I resolved the issue with something ambiguous and drew out the fish sitting near it. It's over. Move on.

Oh right. You go labeling them with the name of a highly polarized public figure with a negative reputation around here, but it's ok because you were referring to her writing, not her actions or reputation. It certainly wasn't in bad faith at all, certainly not.

This person was only giving you a thoughtful list of grammatical mistakes so you could improve your writing. I happen to agree. I had a very difficult time reading your article. It's absolutely riddled with grammatical mistakes, and all of getaneditor's points are spot on. Yet you go labeling him with the name of a vicious anti-gamergate critic. If your frame of mind is so twisted as to see that post as "bait", you're either incorrigibly snobbish or incorrigibly paranoid.

I will make sure this gets sorted. Our contributors are volunteers and not professional writers or editors so it's inevitable that stuff like this is going to get through. We're trying to be inclusive as possible regardless of literary ability.

You did very well, and kudos for the the tone as it felt neutral, respectful, and relaxed! I wouldn't worry about the grammatical errors much, but I think that there were a few too many capitalizations (proper vs. common nouns such as "dinosaurs").

Great job overall, cheers!

I do caps a lot. It's one of my things. If something is important in my sentence I unknowingly hit it.

since you seem involve can u fix the nav bar there should not be a space between the buttons or at least that much space.

found your problem for the class "navLink js-show-platforms" remove margin add padding,

something like padding: 0 26px;

god damn it, that blue bar on mouse over stretching across the screen bugs the ever living shit out of me.

I know it seems like a stupid gripe, but it's actually annoying me to the point I don't want to use the site.

This piece really isn't my best grammatically, it was also my first piece(written a week ago) that got me back into writing. Obviously it's good, but it can be so much better and I have since improved, and will continue too, with each subsequent piece. Thanks for reading.

It's more of a piece to refocus and funnel the fact that most of the people, who aren't providing a good narrative and most of the ethical concerns, aren't gamers.

Good article. You pointed out the obvious cultural gap; these days, most of the game press aren't culturally hardcore gaming hobbyists. They seem to be frustrated avant-garde art-cinema-buff types, not culturally nerds.
