Instructions not clear, got stuck near Mercury. Please advise.
SUCK YOUR DICK
If I could do that, I wouldn't be playing WoT.
So damn true.
Ok let me be that guy.
That is actually a legitimate insult in Russian, it is literally translated. It sounds silly in English but a better non-literal equivalent would be something like 'kiss my ###'. Which conversely doesn't sound as intimidating in Russian.
Also the same can be said for at least half of all of these 'nonsensical' insults; they are literal translations from other languages. I guess mostly Americans browse this subreddit? I'll admit that some of these even I can't say what they mean, so I guess at least some of them are written by people who have trouble writing their thoughts down.
/ugh. learn a new language or something, we'll see who makes funny remarks then =P
I'm from Sweden and I know perfectly well that it would sound incredibly silly to translate Swedish insults directly to English.
What is funny here is how people are angry and look stupid at the same time. Especially since they get so angry over nothing. I.E. mechanics in a computer game.
Insanity barbie!

Oui Fr? Oui Fr? Oui Merde. Cracked me up.

disable chat in randoms, it's heaven
And miss out on all the lulz? are you crazy?
indeed!
I did until 0.9.4 when they accidentally disabled platoon chat along with the rest of the battle chat. The bugs seem to outnumber the features in this patch.
meh, would miss all the rage-lols and rare but not unheard of good advice on high-tier games.
They say wanker lots.
U wot m8? That's bollocks :p
lost my shit @
I scout for u hill
Save me
After that he drove up on the hill, got one-shotted and said "Thanks..."
"fakkk sucker insanity barbie" is a new one.
...and people wonder why there's no teamwork in public battles...
Thank you, WG, for giving us the ability to disable the chat.
Amen. Praise SerB, for He is the only voice I need to hear.
I am win you no
Lolwut
I noticed:
"sucht jemand einen deutchen Funclan?
-ja

Its double the fun for polish people, becouse "ja" in polish means "me" :D
I thought NA was the worst
Come to England, we'll show you what scum really is
Come to sea...i mean asia server. Where the chat breaks and its full of boxes and 555+ and nguyens
No thanks!
And pinoys. Forgot about those. Hey tiger 2 charge while i snipe in my e100....
basicly like NA?
Is so much into worse!
Seriously, some games you have 2 players spamming their own particular species of klingon at each other. No one else even knows wtf they are on about.
The EU servers are just horrible.
If you are engaging Klingons, it is customary to allow them to fight in one on one warrior combat before intervening.
I never get why are people so upset when two people speak "other than english" language to each other in chat. Its not like they have something to say to you, so just ignore them.
I sometimes greet with fellow country man and imidiately get: "what? speak english not klingon! no one understands you" etc etc.
there is still an issue when everyone doesn't speak a common language, like english for an example.
less communication in a game already lacking teamwork.
Well chat should be there to communicate with your team. If you're spamming chat in a language 13 out of 15 of your team mates dont understand then yes, there is a problem, and yes, it pisses people off.
If you want to speak to a fellow country man, close WoT, go outside and speak to someone.
Sensible strategy comunication with your teammates in pub chat. I have yet to see that.
Anyways, for basic "strategy", you have F1-F8 commands, which are universal and dont suffer from language bariers.
"siema pl?" is like saying "I only want to speak to Polish players, no one else". Starting a game like that is just rude. Also why only Polish players?
Why would you have more in common with the other Polish players rather than just anyone?
This conversation that I started here with this thread is open to everyone, for example. I'm not limiting it to just one group of people.
Its EU server, people are not obligated to understand or use english language. Its nice if they do, but dont act like its some unbreakable rule. I wouldnt say this if we were speaking about NA servers, or if UK had specific server.
No, the issue is not using your native language. That's just fine.
The issue arises when you start cursing at people in terrible, terrible broken English (hence "Klingon" because it's unidentifiable as any language in particular).
I'm not saying we have it worse. This is just our version of it :P
Theres a lot more idiots on the NA server, they just speak in less broken english. Its either English, Brazilian, or French-Canadian. And the occasional Spanish.
I see russian more than anything Any other foreign language on NA East
EDIT: words
"i outrank you, you shut up"
I feel like that a reference to The Producers. "You are ze audience! I am ze author! I outrank you!"
maybe i'm just newer to the scene, but this game seems alot less toxic then others i've played. (na servers)
There's really nothing wrong with the gobshite one, besides the fact that he wrote "ass" instead of "arse". You can't mix Mexican and Continental. We're better than that.
"Go wash dishes for gold" was the best one by far. Implying I wouldn't just play my premium tank and get money for rounds. Who does work irl? Plebs.
Glory to Arstotzka.
