Wii U digital content help
Hey everyone. I've done lots of poking around on Nintendo's support site and this sub as well and can't seem to find an answer to my question which, i guess is less common. I want to format my Wii U and delete everything. Not worried about save data, as I've honestly not played too much. I've got some old content from my regular Wii on there taking up space and I'm trying to be all digital in this console gen. I know I can normally delete content, but I would like to just straight up format and go from scratch.
The catch is, I already own quite a few digital games (just got Smash, Wind waker came with my console, etc). Now I know it's said somewhere that the purchases are tied/not tied to the console but my question is this: I want to sign back in after my format and get my content back. Is this possible? I don't want to sell it and give people my games/not give them my games (as i've seen some posts about) I just want to make sure I can get all of my stuff back. Does anyone have experience with this?
thanks in advance for the read

Same hardware and same NNID? If so, you will be able to redownload your eShop stuff.
yup. Just a straight up wipe and repave and me logging back in with my same account.
Yeah you should be fine.
So if my WiiU breaks I cant get anew one and redownload my games?
I believe I heard something about calling Nintendo and making a case with them and they can then allow you to re-download.
That's just so weird. It should just be linked to account imho.
we all would like that i think. Nintendo is just...i guess still developing their online strategy.
you can, but you will have to contact Nintendo to get your stuff moved over.
