Frank Gore ROS

After getting only 1.6 pts on 13 attempts (bearing in mind he had a TD poached by Hyde) what are y'all's thoughts on him moving forward? With Seattle twice and Oakland in the next 3 weeks can we trust him or should Gore owners steer clear and go with alternative RBs?

Update: Had I started Mathews instead I would have clinched playoffs and now must win next week, son of a bitch

You read my mind. He hasn't been ol' reliable like he has been in the past. After the NO game I thought SF was going to back to the running game more.Howeover, after 13 carries last week he put up 1.6 pts, barring the cabbaged TD. I'm no expert, but it's a crapshoot in my book.

DONT

He will likely be coming out of my lineup for next week.

I traded him for the Baltimore Defence and Dan Bailey. No Regrets!

Edit: To give an actual response, Gore has been far too variable to be relied upon for the playoffs (perhaps more due to poor coaching decisions than Gore himself), and as the season closes I suspect that after the 49ers are eliminated from playoff contention they'll try to get more action to Hyde, and it'll just be a bigger mess.

The 9ers could figure it out against Seattle, but I feel like they're heading for a big implosion that'll take Gore with them. Oakland maybe. But if you have better options I'd definitely bench him this week.

Currently considering Crowell over him for this week.

If it was my team, I'd do that.

Disclaimer: I'm a Seattle fan, so I may be overestimating how badly the 9ers have been sucking lately. But our defense is really getting its swagger back. We're at least as good against the run as Washington is, and you saw how that turned out.

Currently have Lamar and Mathews so I'm planning on rolling with them

Putting in LaFell over Gore in Flex. Starting Lynch and Denard

I hope Hyde steals the job from him.

i was completely fucked this week at runningback because both leveon bell and foster weren't playing and i traded off all my real depth in an attempt to improve for the playoffs. so i pulled off a trade for shits and giggles to get both boom herron and carlos hyde for a good karma alma-mater start. i mean they only combined for like 18 points (ppr), but it was probably the best 18 points i've ever gotten (even though my team got destroyed).

I've trusted in Gore for the past 3 years, he has never done me wrong, until now. I'm facing a must win this week to make playoffs and I'm dropping that mofo like a sack of potatoes. I swore up and down by you! You were the chosen one!...someone hold me

I am about to drop gore and grab Blount.. I also have Gray on my bench so I look at that as a positive. I'm not in need of a rb though.. I think I only started gore a few times.

I traded Gore for Forsett right after Gore's 20something point game.

This is a pristine example of selling high
