I encountered a hacker today. How do I even report him?
I was playing on a pub-server today, a regular Valve server, when a hacker joins the enemy team. He starts to use aimbot as a Sniper, and then proceeds to play Heavy, while compensating for the bullet spread (while still using aimbot), to allow him to snipe people from across the map with a minigun. He also has perfect bhopping as every class.
After a while he also starts to change name every ten seconds, and spam the chat with the usual "GET LMAOBOX" crap. But even before he started changing name, it was really difficult to do anything about it. There is no way to report people from in-game! In CS:GO for example, you can get to any player's profile from the scoreboard, and you can also report them directly on the scoreboard. TF2 has no similair functions.
Also, you can only start votes against players on your own team. Apparently, you can't even start votes as a spectator. And not everybody wants to kick a hacker on their own team.
And even though I had his name, it was difficult to find his profile on Steam. I found it after a while on the Steam client, by going to my profile, Friends, Players. (The similair "current players" function in TF2 is broken.)
But anyways, it is way too difficult to get to a player's profile in TF2, and reporting somebody is apparently very annoying. Am I missing something, or should Valve just really do something about this?
