placing torches?
ay mateys im just tryna place a torch on my humble abode but i cannot do it what gives

I was thrilled to log in today and find I could just place and pick up torches like before. PHEW! Those torch holders were a pain in the butt!

You need to craft and place a torch-holder (sconce) first
And be aware that this is being reverted in the next alpha, apparently.
I like that idea, the sconce thing just seemed like a timewaster to me, especially now that torches need tallow and don't stack.
and all the metal wasted to make the holder.. not a lot but still could be used for something else.
I don't hate the idea of torch holders, but why do they have to be made out of metal? I gave up on torching my base because I needed all the iron I could get for rebar frame to make concrete. It also seems to me that you should still be able to stack torches (seeing as you can carry stacks of 64 rebar frame like it's nothing), just maybe have a lighting mechanic so you have to light it once you place it?
They had to get rid of the stacking mechanic to implement the "torches have durability" mechanic, from what I understand. I do agree that it's a pain though.
