Inquisition Romance Theme Songs
So I was inspired a bit by the blog post about what the writers of various Bioware writers were listening to while writing their characters. I thought it would be fun for us to submit songs we think are fitting to describe or make you think of your favorite Romance! Maybe include a little description of why you think it works and a link to it on youtube. Here are some of my ideas.
Solas/Lavellan - On a Neck, On a Spit - Grizzly Bear : I think the lyrics about him sending a messenger after an unceremonious goodbye kind of reflect what I wish happens with Solas and Lavellan after the game. There's also references to dreaming so it's kind of perfect!
Cullen/Mage Trevelyan - Floating on the Lehigh - Department of Eagles: I think their relationship is kind of fraught with serious questions they're both having to ask about themselves and each other. It's not a perfect comparisan but I like how it's kind of sweet and lilting and kind makes me feel the same way, if that makes sense!
Blackwall/Any Inquisitor - The man who Breaks Things -Land of Talk: Now admittedly I haven't done this romance myself but I have watched the footage on youtube and the whole romance is so fraught so I thought the song was perfect. It has that whole "I can't quit you" quality that I think the song also has.
Anyway, what ideas do you guys have?

Dang, just one? Here’s a few; I get way too immersed in this sort of stuff. Picked some of my favourites from a playlist I made.
Fear & Loathing – Marina & The Diamonds
Waiting for a Friend – The Pretty Reckless
Blackwall: The first is a song about being different people, the second about wanting to be rescued from them self.
Sleep Alone – Bat For Lashes
Howl – Florence + The Machine
The Fighter – In This Moment
Solas: References to sleeping/dreaming, wolves and a ballad to top it all off and make me cry.
Lithium - Evanescence
Good Enough - Evanescence
Undisclosed Desires - Muse
Cullen: Lithium reminded me a little of the Lyrium issue, Good Enough and Undisclosed Desires because he felt a few times undeserving of my Inquisitor.
What Have You Done – Within Temptation
Anders:I saw someone mentioned a song for Anders and this song fit perfectly for me and I had to share it!
you can choose more than one! undisclosed desires is such a good call, you're right that I think Cullen does carry a bit of "how the hell did I manage this" in his relationship with the inquisitor. I can't help but find it super endearing!
Thought of another one for Cullen/female inquisitor. I think this one is just apt for him in his relationship with any inquisitor, not just a mage one.
Close to Paradise- Patrick Watson , it even has references to a hole in the sky, so apt!!! There's also a really pretty line, "Waking morning sunshine burns, Cause you're far from where your felt you are", which makes me think of that scene after he tries to resign where he's just on the battlements with the wind in his face and all this anxiety over his last interaction with the inquisitor.
Come to think of it, Patrick Watson has a song that's pretty perfect for Solas/Lavellan, called Daydreamer, I think the kind of cinematic quality of Patrick Watson's music lends itself well to parallels with Inquisition(not to mention that Patrick Watson is from Montreal and used to write music for movies).
