The statistics on female homicides are staggering

It's just mind blowing:

• 45% of all female homicides were by an intimate partner http://opdv.ny.gov/statistics/nationaldvdata/intparthom.html

If limited to single offender/single victim situations that number jumps above 63%. And it's even higher if you include recent ex's, though the FBI doesn't keep a specific count.

The #1 victim related reason for the risk of death to increase:

• The victim has recently separated from the offender.

Maybe it just seems convenient for me to say that now but the only thing I can say now to kind of-- I won't say prove it in a way is that my behavior didn't change once I stopped smo-- you know once Hae broke up with me, or once you know we broke up or whatever.

It's an overwhelmingly unfortunate situation in the US.
