Game is pretty but it doesn't look compelling or interesting in the slightest. It looks like it plays like a very average beat 'em up with a nice shiny coating. Hopefully we'll see a lot more interesting gameplay or some improvements soon.
I agree, the game is pretty and that is about it. What bothered me about this trailer is that the combat/gameplay seemed very clunky and slow or inaccurate if that makes sense. When playing a beat-em-up you want to press a button and have that action immediately connect. Watching this trailer all of the action seemed to not connect or correspond with the animation of the character, which makes me think that it would have a really bad end-user feel to the core gameplay.
Or I could be reading too much into an "announcement trailer."
I hope that you are - early gameplay and it does need work to make it more engaging and fun.
It is a indie game with only five people working on it - so I'd give it time but I wouldn't buy it on a video like this alone. Rather it is just to start showing the game more to the world - even if it a very raw version (there will hopefully be a lot of iterations).
The dev team is 5 people in Sicily - and there is still a lot to do with gameplay and such.
And this guy is esp. handsome I think http://www.rimlightstudios.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/danl.png
E: also some insight in the team (esp. the animator) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By5gB9WCEos
