Riot said they didn't want to create a 'prisoners island' and look what happened to normal draft pick

it's is so obvious. not only do these ranked restricted people ruin the game for themself they also toxicate other people in normals.

Just keep reporting them.

Would make more sense to make an actual "prisoner's island" with only the toxic players instead of one that punishes normal players too.

This discourages reformation, which is what riot is focusing on at the moment. I don't know the solution, just giving an explanation for why that isn't done by riot.

What is currently being done doesn't seem to encourage reformation either though. It's the same except it also punishes normal players.

Apparently it does work in the majority of cases. I haven't seen the figures or metrics myself, but that's the Riot articles/propoganda claims. It's tricky to build assumptions without actual data and measurements, and confirmation bias and (uninentional) selective memory can influence perspectives. I'm sure there is a negative influence on normal draft, but hopefully that's a temporary effect, and soon normal draft will be treated similarly to ranked in terms of bans and suspensions. I agree that people have to know that toxic behaviour which got them banned in ranked will also get them banned from other game modes, and hopefully the system will catch up with the perpetrators, there's nothing worse than a game ruined for either side by toxicity.

Did they release any articles/propaganda etc. about the new system of forcing toxic players into normal drafts yet? The only ones I remember seeing are the ones about how 97% of players (or however many it was) punished by the Tribunal reform. And those are pretty old considering how long the Tribunal has been down.

Riot claimed, that the reason they call the bad behaviour "toxic" is, because it infects other players, who are normal or on the edge. Therefore you can think, that putting toxic players into "clean" pool increases toxicity (in normal draft). People surely did not signed up for helping stupid people.

NDraft: "You get a more carefree game mode with less stress compared to Ranked".

Riot: "Objection! With our totally not-prisoners-island system you get to have the stress and toxic behaviour of ranked games, with any of the advantages!"

What I think is the "truth" is that this was the best idea that they could implement right away, so they spun the PR around it.

A real "Prisoner's Island" would require software and hardware updates and upgrades, as much as I'd love to see it implemented. Nothing gives a better lesson on why "toxic" behavior is horrible then being in a game with someone who is even more "toxic" then the said player.

i would rather have toxic players in normal matches then have them in my ranked games.

I second this

its so hilarious that people care more about peoples behavior than their gameplay in ranked

be as toxic as you fucking want, so long as you're playing well and trying to win i dont give a shit because i can just mute

i cant mute shit play

toxic behaviour leads to shittier mechanics, as it puts you on tilt. if i'm in a ranked match, i'm at the smae level as that shitty player, so i would be shitty too.

Imaqtpie is toxic and shits on kids 24/7. Your argument is invalid, stfu. II can be toxic and be good.

maybe not your mechanics but the mechanics of your team can get worse. Also qtpie is an exception not the rule.
