[VN Walk-through] [Pilot post 1 of 3] Fate Route - Day One - "One Day"
Note: This is very much a prototype, but this'll be how I envisioned these would go. I'll try to finish the first 3 days before this Saturday and then I'll begin the walkthrough in earnest. Anime-only subscribers, please let me know if this is something you'll be interested in!
WARNING All youtube videos will more than likely contain spoilers in the related videos area. To avoid this, simply open the videos in a different tab/window and close it when the song ends.
Before reading this, please head over to here and listen to which ever version you wish.
This is Opening Theme to Fate/stay night; the song is titled "This Illusion."
Once that's done, you may begin!
(Also can someone convert the original intro video to a webm for me? I haven't a clue how to do it and I would've preferred to post that rather than a link to one of my posts.)
Background Music - Listen to this as you read!
(You can close this once you finish, this loops. Also sorry headphone users this was the only version I could find x.x)
Day One BGM: Quiet Voice This BGM seriously gives me the chills every time it begins.
Summary - I suck at these x.x
The day begins with Emiya Shirou dreaming of events 10 years prior. The scene is the hospital he has been staying at ever since the Great Fuyuki Fire. His saviour, Emiya Kiritsugu, reveals his magus background and offers to adopt young Shirou.
Shirou is woken up in his shed by his junior classmate, Matou Sakura, and begins his day. After some shenanigans from his guardian and big sister figure, Fujimura Taiga, at breakfast the two classmates head for school.
Upon arriving, Shirou is asked by his Student Council friend, Ryuudou Issei, to repair school equipment. Here we are treated with a first look at Fate/stay night's magic with Structural Analysis. Using this ability Shirou is quickly able to deduce the problem and is able to fix the equipment easily.
After school, Shirou has an encounter with a mysterious young girl with stunning silver hair and red eyes. Leaving Shirou with nothing but a very cryptic warning, she disappears.
After dinner with Taiga and Sakura, Shirou heads to his shed to begin is daily magic practice. We receive a massive info dump regarding his ability, Strengthening, magic in general, and a look into the mind of a true magus.
Highlight images - This is where most of your time will be spent.
These contain text I felt was necessary to know. A lot of this isn't in UBW as it was dropped due to it not being a very good format for an anime. I screwed up a bunch, so images with a scroll bar were me accidentally going too far and having to go back to get the images. x.x
Dilemmas
No bad ends today.
First: The first decision is actually a trigger flag for Heavens Feel, since we're going for Fate we go for the second option.
Second: No flag decisions here. Shirou says before this that his work had said they wanted some extra hands, but it wasn't really necessary. However, Issei asked for more help with the equipment. URGE TO HERO, RISING. The choice is clear.
Third: Here we have a second HF flag with taking Sakura home, so again we're not choosing it. The middle option, I'm not too sure of but it's got some lewd connotations. This is Saber's route, not Taiga's you older sister types, option three it is.
Bonus Stuff
Senpai Counter: 30
(This is going off both what's in the text and what Sakura says. Sometimes she says the word and it won't be in the text, and vice-versa. When both happen it's counted as one.)
The Adventures of Taiga the Tiger
Next Discussion: "Day One II"

Hm, I feel like this might be a lot shorter than it should be. Considering this took me a few hours to put together I figured it'd be much larger than 3k/15k words. I could definitely use some help with putting these together, though. If you have Skype and want to volunteer with helping structure the post and acquiring images to use, please let me know! We could start a group chat and pass around a Google doc to get this done each week. I've gotten all the volunteers I wanted, thanks guys! :D
Does this format work? Do the VN readers think this is good enough for a bite-sized format of the VN? Let me know!
