Origen v2? Good stuff?
Just got a couple of bunk Veritas' from Crap Tech and sent them both back. I've heard great things and the build seems easier to get down after a few tries, but instead of picking up a new one (second is a gift) I was lookin' at the Origen v2 and saw that just about everybody who has tried it loves it or has multiple. Just wondering if anyone has one or both and your thoughts. I have never tried vertical coils, simply because they seem less efficient at wicking consistently than horizontals (cuz of gravity and the lack of a second "tail" to wick from, but I could be completely wrong). Just background info on what I've been using. I'm looking for more of a simple flavor atomizer where I'm not dripping every 3 or 4 pulls. Currently using Tobhs and a kfl+ nano and I just got a Hobo v2 in (kinda underwhelming) and love them, but am looking for something else equally as good/convenient. I have also heard the Vertex v2 produces good flavor but it doesn't look like anything super special honestly. Note: I am not a could chaser; clouds are nice but I'd rather have great taste, and I prefer mouth-to-lung hits. Thanks Reddit!

My origen dripper v2 is the best tasting dripper I've ever tried (haven't had a hellfire tho) and I've tried a lot. I use it all day every day now, it is by far my favorite dripper to date. My origen genesis v2 is the most frustrating thing I've ever bought. Auto dripper mode works a lot better than genesis mode for me but this is my first genesis and I've only had it for two days. I just need some time to gfigure it out I think. Ymmv.
Awesome, that's great to hear, thank you! Another person who loves it is swaying me closer to hitting "Proceed to checkout" :)
If you're talking about the dripper just do it. If you're after flavor it's one of the best things you can buy, as long as you don't mind the restrictive airflow, and don't let the deck intimidate you. It's actually not hard to build at all. The well holds a lot of juice and the design is basically leak proof. It's just really, really good.
Yeah the dripper my bad, meant to be more specific. I'm not really into genesis-style tanks. Thank you! That's what it seems like from all of the reviews/youtube videos. I just can't figure out what makes it so good for flavor, design-wise. But if everyone agrees on how great the flavor and ease of build (and juice well) is, then im down :)
The chamber is REALLY reduced. Like almost as much as the genesis version. With the cap on it's 22mm but it's like 2/3rds of that size with the cap off and tapers up in a pyrmid shape. And the bottom half of that (the shiny part) is all well. Basically the only way I could think of to improve flavor is making the topcap completely conical inside instead of the tiered pyramid design.
Is the airflow wide open on the 2mm holes very restrictive? Like if I usually use just 1 or 1.5 holes per side on a Tobh (can't remember the diameter) should I be all set?
Yeah if you only use 1 hole they're that size (I think the tobh holes are 2mm), "wide open" is 2x2mm, definitely restrictive but that's what I personally prefer and it does wonders for the taste. The smaller air holes are for mouth to lung I think, especially in single coil, trying to lung hit anything except both holes wide open would be an exercise in futility lol.
