Oh man, super cringed at the extended cock-block by Tina. The middle-aged "I need to be the hottest/most desirable woman in the room" desperation was palpable

Yeah, that shot of both girls pulling his arm really captured that moment so well.

He really channeled his inner Pete Eckhart in that scene.

Nothing specific to add, but what a great episode. I'm really enjoying this show. Mark Duplass is incredible in everything he's done.

Have to agree. I was really into Girls before this show came about and it could have something to do with my love for all things Duplass brothers and also because damn it's good but I'm liking Togetherness a lot more than it's time slot counterpart these days.

We are on the same wavelength. Togetherness is the better half. I sincerely enjoyed the first couple seasons of Girls, but this new season is unbearable. The premiere made me cringe so much. I think the show has always tried really hard to be what it is (if that makes sense), but now it's not only "trying too hard" but the premise is wearing thin.

I felt really bad for Alex.

I kinda felt bad for every character to be honest.

One can only hope that Alex gets another shot with Pam before they leave Houston.

I loved the dancing scene. It said so much about Tina and Alex.

I was iffy on the series at first but this episode sold me. Though I think there were some missed opportunities with Alex and Tina's storyline, this episode really felt driving, emotional, clear, and engaging throughout. Every scene between Brett and Michelle was terrific.

By the end of this episode, it hit me that this show is the best thing the Duplass brothers have done to date.

Tina really sucks. I really hated that cock-blocking scene. She is obviously totally fake in her desire to "help" Alex. She just wanted a fat loser to be obsessed with her to validate her self-worth.

Anyone know the song when Alex and Tina are riding to her house from the airport? It sounds like some high quality 80's electro that I could use in my life.

Edit: I believe it's Michael (Mike) Andrew's original work. That guy is talented, hope I'm wrong and it's available somewhere.....need dat

Edit 2: Confirmation from one of the Music Supervisors, it is Mike Andrews original work :(

Michelle seemed more likable this episode than last. Still really just feel bad for Brett, though.
