How to make aiming with the Bow intuitive with a C-stick or CPP.

This option has been talked about quite a few times around this sub, but until just recently figuring it out on my own it never really made sense to me.

As most of you know, there is a new (default) control scheme for the Bow. As it was, you'd hold X to charge an arrow and hold R to bring up the aiming indicator. The new scheme switches this, meaning you hold R to charge an arrow and press X to toggle aiming.

This annoyed me to no end for a while as I very much liked being able to charge an arrow with R, which allowed me to change the camera angle at the same time, but it also made the aiming mode a toggle rather than a hold, a change that fucked me up to *no end. And leaving it on changed the camera to over-the-shoulder, something I found a little nauseating.

There is not an option to change X from a toggle to a hold. But there is an option to change that over-the-shoulder view, leaving it the default camera instead. And by leaving that toggle on all the time, I found that I can simply charge an arrow, use the C-stick to put my target right in the middle of the screen, walk forward to align my hunter and release and the arrow just hits where you want it to. Instead of defaulting vertically to ninety degrees, it snaps to the vertical alignment you have with the camera. And holy shit it's so intuitive now. So the settings and to sum up:

TL;DR: In options, set Bow Controls to Type 2, set Bow Aim Mode Cancel to Manual, and set Quick Aim Camera to Type 2. Draw your bow, toggle aim mode on, leave it on. Charge an arrow while walking, aim the camera at your target while walking, align your hunter forward and let the button go. You will hit your target. No more standing still while you aim at a weak point.
