Who was the investigator who spoke to Coach Sye before 3/23/99? Who was he working for?

Question

Coach Sye's police interview notes published by SS in her blog refer to an earlier conversation he had with a white male investigator, who told Coach Sye that Adnan remembered talking to him. The police interview was 3/23/99 and the coach had already spoken to the investigator. [edit: link]

Adnan was arrested 2/28. Chris Flohr and Douglas Colbert were the attorneys originally hired to represent Adnan who were trying to speak with him on 2/28.

Asia sent her letters on 3/1 and 3/2.

The track coach was interviewed sometime before 3/23.

Colbert and Flohr continued to represent Adnan through the second bail hearing on 3/31.

CG's contract says she was retained on 4/18.

Edit: timeline sources here: link

  1. Who was the investigator who spoke to Coach Sye?
  2. Who hired the investigator who spoke to Coach Sye?
  3. Did the same investigator investigate Asia's letters?
  4. What if anything did that investigator find out w/r/t Asia?
  5. What, if anything, was communicated re: the investigator and Asia to CG?

The full report of the investigator is presumably privileged as attorney work product and Adnan is entitled to keep that report confidential.

But privilege is waived as to the subject of an IAC petition, which in this case is at a minimum CG's handling of the Asia alibi issue (or, possibly, more broadly, CG's handling of an alibi defense in general). So it's a fair subject of inquiry to determine what, if anything, a PI for Adnan's attorneys learned about Asia in March of 1999 [edit: wrong year.]
