PSA: Here is who you contact at Western for questions

With a great majority of this subreddit content consisting of people asking questions that should be directed to official sources, I thought I might take a moment to provide you with the correct resources for those questions.

Please, please, please do not trust your financial, academic, or other future to some anonymous person on reddit who may or may not know the right answer, despite how convincing they sound online. In nearly every Admissions question thread, the WWUAdmissions person corrects at least one thing wrong with advice that someone else has given. I would imagine that it's the same for financial aid, residence life, or any other topics that are immediately concerning and highly important!

The rest of the community--do your part to not disseminate inaccurate information! Direct new users to this post, the directory, the website, etc.

Thus,

Admissions: admit@wwu.edu / 360-650-3440

Financial Aid--FAFSA, Grants & Loans: financialaid@wwu.edu / 360-650-3470

Residences/Dorms/Housing: housing@wwu.edu / 360-650-6565

Registrar's Office--Residency, Current students, Grades, Academic Honesty: registrar.Office@wwu.edu / 360-650-3430

Please do not gamble any part of your future on "well, some dude with a shit-or-other-bodily-fluid pun username on reddit said so." The offices at Western are staffed with helpful people who know far more about their office than other students or redditors. If you find someone who is unhelpful, ask to speak to someone else! Usually, the first person you speak to will be a student employee. Ask to speak to a counselor or manager if they are unable to help you.
