I have a quick question about a few weapons.

So I'm at 8 star village quests and I'm hr6 online, up to this point I've been using the Insect Glaive and Lance more than anything else, I've been thinking about making a LBG/HBG and a Hunting Horn. My question is will I still get decent kill times in solo offline play? Or are these weapons better used for supporting others online? Thanks again for any time you take answering.
