Do something about the ESP hackers.

Discussion

Aimbots and teleport hackers are now far and few between, Good work so far.

The game is now rampant with ESP hackers, the hardest to detect. Please devote anti-hack resources to anti-ESP

Every post like this that makes it to the front page makes me cringe

Because you are the minority, and others are more aware.

They just hit over 1 million sales of h1z1 so they should be able to afford a good anti-cheat engine now.....lol

And they just turned it in in BR.

What the fuck even is ESP XD isn't it like traces after a quick google search?

Extrasensorial perception. Aka radar aka wallhacks.

How do you want to pervent people from doing whatever they want on their PCs?

Cheats like teleporting, item duping, god-mode etc. have to use loopholes in servers. Their existence is developer's fault in the first place, so fixing/improving the server code is enough. ESPs don't do anything with the servers, so you can't eliminate them.

ESPs are 100% client-side.

I know three pseudo-solutions:

  1. non-hacked console as a client (i.e: play the console version instead of the PC version)

  2. Install rootkits on consumers' PCs - tried before, worked to an extent, illegal and immoral.

  3. Server sending only the data that clients are allowed to know in a particular moment - much harder to do computationally (servers "melt"), increases bandwidth requirements and makes latency a much bigger, more noticeable issue (client-side predicting significantly limited).

Maybe just wait for the PS4/XONE version (hopefully, it will not be connected to PC servers)

ESP is detectible via anticheat. So I don't know what you are talking about. AC runs client side.

He is partially right... Any complete anti-cheat solution is both server-side and client-side; any game worth their weight in salt is going to work toward a rootkit type solution, because it's very effective and nowhere near as time consuming, resource intensive, or complicated as other solutions.

The problem isn't the AC detecting the ESP, it's them fixing/changing the protlogs faster than the cheat coders changing/updating the cheat code

1
Vonarus•

That's one of the stupidest rumors I hear on a regular basis. I can find the new memory locations for ESP in like 10-15 minutes.

Not if they falsify the pattern making it completely unobtainable/followable, it's a cat and mouse game

Personal note: fuck cheaters and cheat coders

You could if u were being paid to do so.... the free versions can take up to a day though. U gotta wait for the dude to get home from work, take care of some shit, then decide he feels like fixing it.

I disagree with the assertion that it's the developer's fault in the first place. it's the fault of the wrong-doer.

If a person leaves their door unlocked it's not their fault if they get burglarized. It's the fault of the person who committed the crime. Similarly, if a person chooses to take advantage of a "loophole" to cheat it is their fault that the cheat exists or gets abused. The only fault the creater/owner has is having something that the other person desires. In the case of cheaters/hackers, it's their fault for committing the offense not the developer's. At least that's my opinion as far as your assertion is concerned.

When did "wall hackers" become "ESP hackers?" Are these the same people that call them JIFS and not GIFS?

-1
AdventWeedtwitch.tv/adventweed•

ESP/Wallhack has been used interchangeably for a long time.

2
b1ueskycomp1ex•

It's not necessarily wallhacks, because those types of cheats, as referenced in a few (likely removed) videos and images around here recently not only allow you to see players though walls, but the contents of containers, the items laying around in the game world, secret stashes, etc. so it's referenced as an ESP hack rather than a plain wallhack.

1
Vonarus•

ESP and wall hacks are two different things... ESP is 100% on all the time and typically has data associated with it like health, distance, etc. Wall hacks are simply a box or outline of an enemy character when behind a wall only.

When did "cheaters" become "hackers?" Are these the same people that call them "ESP cheaters" and not "Wall cheaters"?

You realize the creators of the .gif format intended for it to be pronounced like "Jiff"?

When they start shooting you from behind a wall/tree. know exactly where you are etc.etc.

In first person, OK. Third person, mmmm.... theres alot of factors.

Maybe he just saw or hear you ? I've notice a few time to that near max render distance player would render before world objects, allowing me to see though stuff.

Not necessarily.

Sadly, this is the truth... the devs will only be able to eliminate public hacks or poorly created private hacks when it comes to ESP.
