Adnan has an alibi

• 10:45 - Adnan calls Jay, Goes to Jay's house, lends Jay his car and phone, says that he will call Jay after track.
• 11:30 - Adnan goes back to school.
• 2:15 - school gets out
• Adnan goes to the library - Asia McClain talks to Adnan at the library (2:30 to 2:40)
• 3:30 Adnan goes to track - Coach Sye remembers having a talk with Adnan at 3:30 about Ramadon, and the temp being in the 50s for Jan. It is only practice during Ramadon that is warm enough.
• 4:58 - Adnan calls Jay to pick him up from track.
• 5:15 - Jay picks Adnan up from track
• 5:30 - Adnan gets super stoned and Jay and Adnan go and hang out at Cathy's house
• 6:07 - Incoming call possibly from Hae's brother @ Cathy's
• 6:09 - Incoming call possibly from Aisha @ Cathy's
• 6:24 - Incoming call from Detective Adcock @ Cathy's
• 6:30 - leave Cathy's
• 7:00 - Adnan is at the Mosque. Adnan's father and Mr. B confirm this. Leaves car and cell with Jay.
• 8:00 - Jay picks Adnan up from the mosque, Adnan drops Jay off at the mall where Jenn picks Jay up.
• 9:00 to the rest of the night : Adnan is at home, makes calls after 9:00 because free evening cell calls

The prosecution brought up facts (the Nisha call and Adnan checking his voicemail) to dispute this. However, Nisha was on speeddail so the phone would call Nisha if the number is held down for 1.7 sec. The records were billing records, which is from send to end, so it was 2:22 from when send was pressed to when the call ended. There was no answering machine on Nisha's phone, so it could have rung for 2:22. No one remembers this call. Nisha testified about call made in February in the trial. Adnan did not check his voicemail. The prosecution misread the records and misrepresented it in court.

Adnan's alibi is consistent with non-Jay witness stories and the cell records. Jay's story is the only bit of evidence that contradicts Adnan's alibi, and his story is contradicted Asia and coach Sye's. Furthermore, Jay's story is full of inconsistencies, and was changed to fit the phone records. Even after shoehorning his story into the phone records, it doesn't fit.
