What is the endgame here? Should I wait until a certain time, or just never press it?
While I find this sub hilarious, is there any real goal here? Is it like the knights of the button?

The point of the timer is quite clear, it holds the trailer to Half-Life 3. Anyway who pushes the button does not want Half-Life 3, those who wait closer to the end are trolling. Those of us who will not press the button understand what lies ahead.

We know what happens when the button is pressed! We even know what happens when it is pressed at all the different intervals. There remains but one mystery and it will only be revealed when the clock runs down. Non-pressers remain vigilant, we shall find salvation in The Shade.
