GearVR and Razer Serval game controller

Does anyone know if the upcoming Razer Serval game controller that is apparently coming out for the Razer Forge is able to work with the GearVR or not?

I personally don't really care that much about the Razer Forge since there seem to be about a million of these steaming devices coming out now but this controller looks like it's going to be the best one for Android at the moment. Not discounting the rubbish D-Pad but honestly who uses that anymore?

Also is there any development on using streaming for VR on the GearVR because I think that this is definitely the way to do it, although there are going to be issues with lag and that. I'm not seeing why I should have to buy both a consumer version of the Rift and a consumer version of the GearVR when they come out later this year. Since they're essentially going to be the same product, I.E., The Rift should be using the screens from the Note 5, when they come out. From my understanding.

That looks pretty nice. I'd expect it to be compatible with the Gear VR, given that it's a bluetooth controller made for use with Android devices.

Yeah, do you know if it works or not? I want to know whether to put in a preorder or not. I mean it's quite expensive for what it is.

How could I possibly know when they aren't available to buy yet?

Like I said, I'd expect it to work since most other android Bluetooth gamepads like moga and ipega work.

If you want to be sure, don't preorder it and wait for someone else to try it out first.

There is the possiblity of there being a product tester or journalist whose tested the unit out reading this. Or someone who actually works there.

Also apparently there are problems with one of the mogas from an earlier post.

It's not the question if the controller will work with Gear VR (it definitely could) but if the devs will support this controller in their apps/games.

When it has a standard button/controll layout like the Samsung Pad or Moga Power Pro Gamepad, it's likely that it will work but no garanty. If it's different then the dev has to add the controll sheme to their app. Some devs like DrashVR support a variety of gamepads but not all devs do that.
