Cabin Country Animal?

Question

So I just got to the point in my game where the Cabin Country vendor says that I've shipped enough that they love me in Cabin Country and want to send me one of their famous animals.

But then she said she didn't have it with her and would bring it with her on her next trip.

Well it's been her next trip twice now and the animal is still a no show. Is this a bug that I've got or do I have to do something else to get it?

Keep in mind I haven't expanded my safari yet, although I have that option from the silk vendor. Could that be what's blocking me?

its probably a safari animal. so that may be the issue

Well I mean I've got the safari unlocked, does building the tree open a new area or something?

I think youre suppose to go to the carpenter and they'll build the place where the animal they're gonna give you will live.

Hey. I had this problem as well. Exactly the same scenario as you. It's been about 1.5~ weeks in-game time since I've seen this post and she just gave me the animal. It goes in the Safari, but does not require the tree!

I have been waiting for someone to answer you, but it seems to have resolved itself now.

So you just got it eventually? Do you have to talk to her or do they give you a cutscene?

They gave me a cutscene when I entered the area.

And yep, just randomly gave it to me.

Try going in the afternoon, I got the animal at around 3pm.

Edit:also I walk to the trading area from the town to trigger a cutscene.
