[Meta] Quality
The quality of advice given in this subreddit is significantly worse than in other language subreddits because we're lacking native speakers and because most of us don't actively use Latin in our day to day.
It's scary to me how people (who can't know any better) often jump on the first reply to their thread accepting it as gospel. I also dislike what I view as a hesitancy to correct others' mistakes or indeed give any kind of feedback.
However, giving advice in this subreddit is a great learning opportunity to us whose Latin skills are less than perfect and if this board was restricted to "only post if you know what you're doing" then a great many threads would probably go unanswered.
What can we do to ensure that this subreddit contributes to the eradication of bad Latin rather than spreading it?
How can we get querents to be properly critical of our answers when they don't understand a word of what we tell them?
