MBP gets very hot when using Photos app

So, I've been enjoying using the new Photos app on my 2010 Macbook Pro since it's public debut, with a couple exceptions, the most annoying of which being that my computer's fan runs very loud and the computer heats up while using the Photos app. I understand it's very memory intensive, but I'm starting to get worried that my computer is about to overheat after using the app for more than 15 or 20 minutes.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas or suggestions?
