We’ve covered the essentials, and we’ve learned about what to expect. But now it’s time to take a peek at some of the more frivolous items you can live without, but are convenient to have. None of these items existed back during Woodstock, but even the most devout hippie would have a hard time passing up these techy gadgets.
So You’re Tech-Savvy Are Yea?
To last the whole weekend you need one with a high mAh, 10,000+ is ideal to last for the weekend as it should get you several charges on your phone. You can also bring a couple smaller ones for each day that will fit easily in your pocket, but only provide one full phone charge.
Perfect for nighttime at the campsite, or to illuminate your tent. These lights provide a nice ambient light source that require no external power. So the party never stops. You’ll definitely want some sick beats playing at all times. While you cook breakfast, beats. While you pack for the day, beats. For the walk to the main venue, beats. For the after party, beats. To drown out animal noises to sleep, beats. To mask your animal noises, beats. I will be so overjoyed to hear the words Jabra Battery Low echoing through the camp grounds at 5am.
This device will connect to your cars cigarette outlet and provide AC power for charging phones, speakers, or lights from your cars battery. If a USB plugin is all you need, get one of these instead. Keep in mind that you’ll have to turn your car on at some point during the weekend when using these, or you will have a dead battery when it comes time to leave. To avoid the potential for that happening, you can also invest in the next item on this list.
Hook one of these up to your car battery to keep it charged all weekend long, no matter how many things you plug into it. If you don’t have a car or find this too technical, but still want to utilize the sun for power, you can invest in one of these instead. Some gadgets have survived the test of time for a reason. When your phones dead or it’s pouring rain, a simple wrist watch will always let you know how long till your next show starts. If you don’t bring one I can promise at some point you’ll be saying to yourself you wish you had.
