Question beginning Stonewielder [Spoilers through Chapter 3 SW]
I was wondering a bit about how a few characters ended up where they did.
I assume Rillish simply retired and moved to a village after RotCG.
I wasn't sure if I missed something on how Blues, Fingers and all of them ended up in Stratem...How did they get there. Have we seem the Jhek before or are they just coincidentally similar to the Jheck north of Lether?
Finally, Peles is at first said to be from South Genabackis and then later said to be from Perish. What am I missing?

Yep on Rillish. As for the Crimson Guardsmen you mention, I don't think you really find out what they were doing on Stratem (or how they got there) until the beginning of Blood and Bone, two books on from where you are now.
As for Peles, she dosn't want to reveal that she's from Perish at first - I was also confused by it, but it might be because at this point in the timeline, the Perish Grey Helms have sworn allegiance to Tavore (as opposed to the Malazan Empire) and she doesn't want to be doubted?

Seems to be an interesting book thus far, Esselmont's writing has definitely improved.
Yeah, it's a big step up from RotCG writing-wise. Enjoy it! Orb Sceptre Throne is good, but not quite as good...but man, I am reading Blood and Bone now and it is good.
