What to do when being targeted.

So my last 2 games I played I got targeted heavily by the black market for seemingly no reason. I was in the middle of the pack as far as stock price goes and I couldn't build or produce anything for about 10 minutes because I was constantly getting hit by emp and power surges. What do you guys do when you get targeted by multiple like this?

I have some experience in this area, so I'll let you in on my strategies. These can be used separately or together as you see fit.

  • Shrug it off as no big deal
  • Cry silently
  • Whine incessantly about being targeted, especially in chat
  • Lament your inability to turn on masquerade
  • Constantly repeat the word "frustrated" in whatever form is appropriate
  • Go make some tea (this one is great for emps and power surges)
  • Rage super hard
  • Reach a critical overload where you can no longer feel black market pain and go on to win anyways

Under no circumstances should you purchase goon squads, they are for the weak. I can provide some video samples if you're interested in further research.

I feel like 50% of the entertainment of Zultar stream is to watch him get salty when you ghost him and target him :D. LY Z!

  1. Don't cluster different types of buildings together. In other words, dont have all of your buildings in one large clump, put buildings on different sides of your hq
  2. Play scientific
  3. Get more lucky (you will not frequently be targeted like this if there is no other reason)

Instead of stockpiling cash, pay debt and stockpile resources. In some situations, that migh hide your wealth.
