Evidence SGI imposed sleep deprivation on its members

At last they separated; Gilbert got home at 2:15 AM. Tomorrow was Monday, and [his job at] Glas-Craft awaited at 7:00 [AM]. It would be a long day.

Of course it would. And it would be much harder than it would otherwise be, because the cult had convinced Gilbert to allow them to schedule a 12-hour marching practice in the hot sun for earlier that day, Sunday, and then cult leaders had invited him out to dinner afterward, an invitation Gilbert could not imagine turning down because he was already exhausted. No, he felt flattered and honored at being invited - which facilitated his own indoctrination and abuse. Don't ever say that cults don't impose sleep deprivation on their members just because they aren't locking them up in bright-light interrogation rooms for days on end. No, instead, cults convince their gullible marks that what they're doing is soooo important and will be soooo ultimately profitable that the marks do it themselves.

Notice there was no acknowledgment or respect for the YMD members' lives or jobs - this is typical of cults. If you allow them to, they will take over your entire life.
