[Build Ready] ~$1000 Build for Friend
Hey guys,
So I enjoy building PCs and one of my friends asked me to help his friend build a PC. I talked to his friend and he mentioned he's currently gaming (mostly LoL) on a Mac, he wants to be able to play more games, and of course have no issues while running LoL. He mentioned his budget was ~$1000 and he said to beef it up as much as possible without really breaking the ceiling of the budget.
Here's what we need: *A fully-functioning PC (obviously) *A monitor *A keyboard/mouse *Computer must be able to use Wi-Fi *A headset w/ microphone
We probably won't need any help getting the OS, so don't worry about that. We'll likely use something like /r/microsoftsoftwareswap.
All in all, would you guys make any changes to this build?
Thanks!

Looks nice, here are a few things.
Is he overclocking?
If not, you can drop the cooler. The CPU will come with its own cooler which will be fine to use.
Your Memory can be found a little cheaper if you go with DDR3-1600. Maybe save $10 here but not a big deal otherwise.
Other than those two things it looks very nice!
He's not overclocking. However, a good amount of my friends have wound up with various CPU problems ranging from the 6300's to the 8300's being that either they're too loud, or do not cool well even though they're not overclocking either.
As for the memory, I actually found the 1866 speed to be cheaper than the 1600 speed.
Those are certainly valid issues so if you're more comfortable with it, the cooler certainly is a plus.
The memory is also great, I was just looking for more deals.
Overall, great build!
