TO be fair, SG1 was incredibly self aware. They knew it was shit, and they ran with it and laughed at themselves 90% of the time.
Yeah this was a couple episodes after WORMHOLE EXTREME!
X-TREME! 200 was a fantastic episode as well.
Christian Bocher: I'm Christian Bocher. I'm portraying the character of Raymond Gunn, who portrays the character of Dr. Levant, which is based on the character Daniel Jackson, portrayed by the actor Michael Shanks. Originally portrayed by the actor James Spader, in the feature film. (looks at camera operator with a concerned look) Are you okay?
I would be happy erasing my memory and watching seasons 1-5 over and over.
and maybe 7-8.
Why are you saying that "it was shit"?
Stargate SG-1 is one of my favorite sci-fi shows, but it was pretty damn campy at times. And it owned it.
"In the middle of my backswing?!?!"
That is my favorite episode. Sure, not a super original premise, but it was such a great character episode with several nods to the fanbase.
Makes sense, but yeah, the last 2 seasons are a way too cheesy sadly...
^This. I love SG-1(and Atlantis and universe) for what it is, and it's campy as hell. It's because it was self aware, and owned the campyness that made it awesome.
Agreed. Since when did this attitude start? News to me...
I've got an orange with your name on it McKay!
that "<PRE" with no closing ">" will give me nightmares tonight
What if sleep is just your mind's scheduled downtime, and dreams are just your brain running linters and compilers on what you saw that day?
Think about it.
Think about it.
That caused me to read your comment in Demetri Martin's voice.

Oh yeah I saw that and twitched.
Really this whole thing is lovely
if Good_Password(input_password, correct_password) then Allow_Access
Does that mean they're storing the correct_password locally??
You really expect a government system to hash passwords?
well it's gotta be in ram somewhere in some form!
actually no, it doesn't.
You might want to set your humor detector subroutine to true when reading comments here.
Actually yes, it does, even if it's fuzzed or obfuscated as a hash, it's still in RAM. <.<
You could make a disk device that reads directly off the platter straight into a register.
No, a hash isn't simply an obfuscated password. It's a value generated by a function for which many other input potentially generate the exact same output.
When you are using e.g. rainbow tables to "reverse" a hash, you'll only end up with one of these many potential inputs. You have no idea of knowing if it matches the actual password.
This is also the reason you can't derive the content of a DVD from its SHA-1 or MD5.
"Imput" The misspelled inputs really got me lol
It's the opposite of "disput", obviously.

Snake_Pascal_Case? What has science done?
Is .asp an allowed TLD?
That's what tipped you off?
That, and they should really be using https if they're trying to be secure.
Ah, Internet Explorer 5 for Mac OS 8... those were the days... That address bar...

Couldn't leave it like that.
Entire page is ruined until this comment
It seems like the replicators ran Javascript, if I remember right.
Yes, coz it doesn't have to be the correct password, just a good one.

What episode is this?
S5 E14: 48 Hours
http://ftd.asp... What kind of domain is that? Lol
I don't care what you say I will never accept such heresy! SG-1 is the one and only true show!
such epic hacker code
Ah, that's hilarious. I wish it wasn't so funny because it defeats the purpose of my mandatory upvote for SG-1.
Looks like a modified Mac OS 8 / 9. The Timeframe should match up as well if this is an early season of SG1.
Thanks HAL.

Pascal, perhaps? Are there other languages that do comments
{ like this }?Looks like straight up pseudocode to me. Replace "Everything is alright so go ahead" with the code you would write if everything were alright.
