Ballard Brewery Walking Maps

Hey y'all,

With Lucky Envelope opening on 5/7 and Reuben's new taproom opening on 5/9, I updated a couple Google Maps walking routes that I keep and thought some of you would be interested in seeing. I find this is a pretty fun thing to do with people from out of town that want to get a sense of the Seattle beer scene. Generally speaking, you can only do the full tours on Saturdays since the breweries are obviously open the longest hours on that day. I added some bus tips if you want to save that Uber/cab/Lyft money for delicious beer.

Short Version (7 breweries, 1 mile total walking) - To start, the 28 drops off a block away from Populuxe at the 8th Ave NW & NW 50th/51st St stop, the 40 drops off about 3 blocks away at the NW Leary Way & 11th Ave NW stop or the 44 is 6 blocks away at the NW Market St & 8th Ave NW stop. At the end, you can either keep partying in central Ballard or take the RapidRide-D, 40 or 44 wherever you're going which are all within a few blocks of the Hilliard's/Peddler/NW Peaks nucleus.

Full Version (10 breweries, 1.7 miles total walking) - To start, the 28 and 40 buses drop off next to Hale's at the Leary Way NW & NW 43rd St stop. At the end, same as above.

Full Version + Rooftop (11 breweries, 2.8 miles total walking) - For the truly insane. Same start as the Full Ballard version. At the end, the 31 and 32 pick up at the W Nickerson St & 12th Ave W stop a block away or you can walk back a few blocks to the Ballard Bridge and pick the RapidRide-D at the 15th Ave W & W Emerson St stop.

NOTE: Thanks to u/upleft for reminding me that NW Peaks closed the taproom at their brewsite and opened up a new taproom nearby. I edited the maps to reflect that but it only shows up as The Bergschrund, of course, but just know that that is the taproom for NW Peaks.

Update (7/8/2015): as promised here is a list of hours for the breweries. Bottom line - you can easily do all 10 on a Saturday (averaging an hour at each) if you start at Hale's no later than 1pm.
