Did anyone watch the Baltimore game and think, that could have been St. Louis?
I did. Course it would have been a riot itself at Busch.

I would have flipped if we did that. At least play it in KC or something.

It helped our case that the Park is downtown and the riots where far north. However there were games were there were demonstrations outside, and I got highly annoyed by all the political rabble.
2
You can understandably be annoyed, but baseball has always been associated with politics.
The color barrier of course, the 1919 world series, FDR not making players draft exempt, Curt Flood and the end of the reserve clause, the way that steroids were handled, etc. That is just a small handful of instances where on-the-field aspects of the game reached well beyond the baseball world (or vice versa like yesterday in Baltimore).
It is impossible to avoid.
2
This didn't involved on field anything. It was the rabble between demonstrators and spectators about the events of Ferguson. If we are talking about things involving gay players(like the rams) or race issues in sports, that's fine.
I find things that leak into the game from the outside, near insufferable.

I believe you mean protest

What are you guys hoping for out of Cooney?
I'd be satisfied with 5 or 6 innings and 2 or 3 runs allowed. Anything more than that is gravy.
4
No hitter or bust. He has to pitch The Right Way^^TM

You. I like you.
2
Aw yes. I have to spend all day studying for finals BUT Cardinal baseball is on this afternoon. Makes it all worth it.
3
Blah I feel like shit. Last thing I wanted to do today was trek through the woods. Especially after seeing VHS last night.
2
So, Carlos Martinez is really good.
2
So, I know it's still early in the season, but after last night we have the best record in baseball. Here's to hoping we keep it for a long time.
Edit - Or should that be Best Record in Baseball^TM ?
