/r/ImaginaryWarhammer's rules

Meta

r/ImaginaryWarhammer is a member of r/ImaginaryNetwork. As a result, their rules must be followed. The rules are fairly simple but important, so I will be explaining what they mean and how they affect you here.

First, Imgur links are not allowed. At least not when the original can be found. Try doing a quick google or Deviantart search of the picture’s subjects before you give up.

Second, provide sources. This means, when possible, providing the original title and author. This goes in hand with the previous rule.

If you find art on Deviantart you want to share, post the DA link (which is the picture’s title followed by a series of numbers). The most direct link can be found by clicking the image's title.

If you find art on Lexicanum, WH40kWiki, or 1d4chan you want to share (and can’t find a source for it) click the highest resolution link, delete everything after the .jpg or .png or .whatever and post that new link.

When possible, post the artist’s name. Their real name is preferable (This is particularly easy for Deviantart as it can normally be easily found in the "About" or "deviantID" section of the artist's page), but a username or pseudonym is ok if nothing else can be found. And sometimes you just can't find the artist. That's ok. Just say so in the title.

The preferred title format is “[Tag] Original Title by Author”. Tags can be found above the “submit” button when posting. A post example can be found here. Since the addition of post flair, you do not have to put a tag in the title. Just add the appropriate flair after.

Post Flair. All posts should be tagged with flair indicating which fandom it belongs to. Most of the tags are straightforward, with "40k" referring to "Warhammer 40,000", "WHF" referring to "Warhammer Fantasy", and so on and so forth. "Other" refers to a post that combines at least one of the main fandoms with something else, like Samus from Metroid portrayed as an Inquisitor or Marvel's Deadpool as a Space Marine. "Meta" refers to the function of the sub, and will mostly be used for announcements, rules, and the like.

Three, no photo albums. Photos should be uploaded one at a time or posted in bulk in the comments.

On reposts. They are acceptable, but only if the previous post is more than 3 months old. Reposts any earlier will be removed.

Posts that break these rules may be removed. Users that frequently break these rules may be banned.
