strange that this article was published today yet speculates that house prices could fall if we get a Labour government - has nobody at the telegraph read the news today? Also your moneyweek article is from 4th may, I posted an article from today on the FT that basically says now that a Tory government is on the cards the housing market is going to revert to insanity mode http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/b5642008-f56e-11e4-bc6d-00144feab7de.html#axzz3ZYgWPgIx
edit: oh i realise now that it's talking retrospectively about fears that were leading up to the general election. sorry
Gazundering?
In the West Midlands a gazunder is slang for a chamber pot. Because it "goes under" the bed.
Journalists reporting on the London housing market is extremely irritating. Its easy clickbait for a slow/mono issue news day and it rarely conveys any new factual information. The most annoying of this phenomena was the immediate post-election production of articles similar to this one (http://www.theguardian.com/money/2015/may/08/international-investors-rush-back-into-uk-property-market) which have definitely been fuelled entirely by estate agents to push properties. More irksome is that the information is hardly ever correct.
London house prices could be facing some heavy weather

"London prices have finally started rising less than non-London prices.", cry me a river.
Unaffordable homes still unaffordable, more news at coming up.
