That is what I was afraid of. I already had a backup in mind involving downloading and a copy/paste macro but it would have been nice to just create a link.

You cannot link to web based files to retrieve cell values. (happy to be proven wrong!!)

I am currently running into issues when trying to reference information stored in a workbook uploaded to onedrive and using that information to update information on onsite workbooks.

Any links that are formed are broken as soon as the information is updated and returns a #REF! error when using a simple right click, paste link option. Reference looks good in the formula bar. Is there a better method to make this connection? Is it possible?
