Would anyone mind posting pictures of the brushed aluminum CAJ?
There used to be so many pictures of them but I cant find one!
Also a picture of the internals without the batteries installed would be awesome!

The ones I remember seeing here were beautiful looking.
Does yours just need a polish and it will look brand new?
Im not sure if its the light or camera but it almost looks brass.
Yeah I got mine about 9 months ago and I work in the military which is why this mod is so beat up. It could use a polishing. It's not brass it's probably the lighting where I took it.

Mine mostly turned a matte grey color over about 6 months without polishing it. There were darker spots where I held it. Wiping it down with any generic cleaning products like soap didn't polish it at all.
You won't find any brushed aluminum boxes with the newest internals... I haven't built any in a long time.
If you go several pages back in the sub, you'll find the old ones. The last ones I built were #70 and below.
Maintaining them takes a little more work and I recommend a mixture of dawn, Brasso, followed by simichrome and then dawn again to bring them back to their original shine. I have 1 raw aluminum box (012) that has almost no tarnish on it, but I'm a messy dripper and constantly have to wipe it down when I use it... which keeps it clean I guess.
...or don't maintain them! They patina beautifully!
