Who is the strongest WR/DB in the NFL today?

I'm in full offseason mode, I just want something football related to talk about. If possible, back your choice up with highlights or videos of lifts, etc.

Anquan Boldin man.

Proof

theblackandsilverratRaiders•

Anquan "so strong" boldin.

18
serbatBengals•

Brandon Marshall was described by Brandon Flowers a couple years ago as a D-Lineman playing wide receiver, so I'm going to go with him.

40
28bOPPanthers•

This makes sense because he's such a good blocker

22
hulkules209Raiders•

And his release is probably the best in the NFL. No db can jam him.

7
AtownbomberFalcons•

Laron Landry. Ped's be damned, dude is massive.

38
28bOPPanthers•

he looks like he could curl my house

34
AltAtFaultRavens•

He David Boston'd out of the league. To some people biceps are more important than paychecks.

and tackling

TunaNoCrust412Steelers•

If he slapped my girlfriend, shit I'm slapping her too.

12
derpaderp1Jets•

I remember when he was on the jets he hurt 3 or 4 people. But it felt like every hit someone stayed down.

Also he used to write suicide mission on his chest before games. I really like him

10
bigsten15Patriots•

Have you seen the gif where he looks like a tiny squirrel trying to tackle Pryor. He looks strong in theses pictures but I'd say there are definitely a lot of stronger CB and S than him. Here's a vine

trying to tackle

Well there's your problem.

12
PopcomPackers•

Depends on the year. Dudes arms weren't always that big.

We're going for WRs/DBs, like the title says.

1
zooted45Seahawks•

Maybe not the strongest but Maxwell was the strongest member of the L.O.B. Those sleeves apparently hide huge guns.

28
ImTheOnlyChipHereEagles•

Those sleeves make him look like he's in middle school lol

42
zooted45Seahawks•

He says they're comfortable, but yeah they do make him look like a big ass kid.

Concealed Carry permit

4
TunaNoCrust412Steelers•

Nooooo way. Kam Chancellor was and is the strongest. His biceps have biceps like the other guy said... He can play LB too, he's huge.

1
zooted45Seahawks•

The guys said it themselves in an interview. Maxwell even had the higher bench press at the combine.

6
TunaNoCrust412Steelers•

Okay. I give you credit just can't see him being stronger than Kam.

1
POWERRRRRRREagles•

Strongest safety is probably Kam Chancellor, strongest CB could be Maxwell. Strongest WR is Riley Cooper, he's essentially a blocking TE that splits out. The guy is terrible but a powerhouse for a WR. If you're talking starting caliber WRs, then it's 100% Boldin.

21
zeitfalleJaguars•

ITT: People who think football strength has a lot to do with your arms.

18
3lauYourMindEagles•

It's gotta be Riley Cooper because I see no other reason as to why they're keeping him on the roster other than "strength".

16
sweaterWeather2Lions•

Maybe he threatened to kill them all if he got released or traded.

26
lethalcure1Cowboys•

No he probably threatened to "fight every Eagle here" if they released him.

16
Blacklist3dDolphins•

Now be politically correct.

7
AmethystWind•

He threatened to fight every at-the-time present member of the Philadelphia Eagles American Football team, and not all nearby avians of the aquila genus, were he to be released.

4
ThaOneNOnlyEagles•

You gotta keep your body in peak physical condition if you want to fight all black people.

16
30K100MRaiders•

How about "White"?

Something something Chip is racist! /s

2
x12omeCowboys•

Dez is a monster

16
deviantpdxCowboys•

He plays twice his size and three times his strength.

8
28bOPPanthers•

Reminds me of when he stiff armed Kyle Fuller

2
legolover54321•

Jaelen Strong, heh

14
KurtanionNZRams•

I was on board with drafting him just so our starting receivers could be 'Quick and Strong'

17
theworkhorsebackRavens•

Andre Johnson. Lost a step or two, yet remains force to cover and take down.

7
bigsten15Patriots•

When you see pictures compared to him of the new WR like Green and Julio there's such a big difference. He's insanely jacked and if players could be as aggressive as they used to be I feel like he would still be a beast. He still pushes off a little but a lot of them get called now.

6
30K100MRaiders•

7
RedNeckAsianSteelers•

I don't know how Dez Bryant didn't make your list. That dude is a beast.

13
ilovelamp42Bears•

Tillman looks like he has insane old man strength but his triceps are really fucked up

6
drterdsmackLions•

His punch is insane.

4
TunaNoCrust412Steelers•

Has anyone seen Mike Evans destroy Terrence Newman? I know there is a size difference but damn.

3
pietya49ers•

I'd go off the beaten track and say Steven Smith, he has that old man strength plus massive reserves of fury to give him a boost.

3
TastyDonutHD49ers•

this year, two dudes knocked themselves out when trying to hit boldin. lol. he also like messed up his face on a hit years ago but came back from it. that's why we call him anquan too strong.

7
AlGoreCerealRavens•

Or cover, from what I learned when he was with us.

4
GoldenMomentsNFC•

I just answered OP's question. I could power clean 1000 lbs. yet still be a shitty tackler.

2
theblackandsilverratRaiders•

Yes you did. Hes still in shape also.

1
GoldenMomentsNFC•

How's his tackling ability relevant to how strong he is then?

A little late but as a Baylor student I really think Antwan Goodley needs to be mentioned here. The dude squatted 660lbs in college at WR, that's just insane. God I hate the cowboys but y'all better treat him and Terrance right.
