I've been hackintoshing for 7 years now. In that time I've never once fired up iMessage on it.
Hackintoshing is a hobby. If you don't have the time to eventually understand how it works and how to do it, you'll live in fear of updates. I haven't had an update go badly for me in years, now that I've got the experience and understanding I need. If you're willing to learn, you can have a perfect hackintosh.

Clover has a better chance of getting imessage to work. Also what spec is you windows tower (Motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD etc)

Thanks for your answer, here are my specs:

CPU: Intel core i7 3770K

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670

RAM: 16gb

128gb SSD + 1tb HDD

Mainboard: ASRock Z77 pro3

Do you think I can install it on my pc? Thanks.

ASRock Z77

Your specs should actually be fine. The easiest option is to add another ssd or hdd and just install 10.10 http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

As I don´t want to keep Windows I´ll just use the ssd I already own.

Thanks for your help

When you can't boot and need some help you will need a notable partition. Don't think this is something you will get in your first couple of tries

Your specs are great! Since there was an iMac with a GTX670m, you'll get native support for your Kepler GPU

I would say yes, it is possible to build a fully working hack. Mine is 100% functional in terms of software features and iMessage. It has only one issue where if I put it to sleep I get no audio when it wakes unless I unload/load the audio kexts. I never put it to sleep though since it's also a media and backup server, so as far as my use case goes everything works 100%. Here's a link to my blog post detailing my build. I did end up switching to Clover to get iMessage working on Yosemite, and since then everything has been perfect.

Could you briefly elaborate on the procedure of unloading/loading the audio kexts? After waking I too lose audio and have to resort to restarting my computer.

thank you!

Try one of the fixes on here http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/151504-no-audio-after-sleep-wake-realtek-alc-applehda-fixes.html

The easiest way is definitely restarting the computer, and that's usually what I do. Though I never put my computer to sleep, which also fixes the problem :P

No offense, but that doesn't solve the problem. It just avoids it.

None taken, and I do realize it avoids it. There isn't really a perfect solution available (at least not one that I've found).

what is the deal with imessage? why do people use it? is it mainly for iphone users?

i built a tiger hackintosh back in 2008, and then upgraded it to leopard. then when snow leopard came around, my system wouldn't install it properly. so i gave up on osx, then around 2013 or maybe 2014 i decided to try installing mavericks on the same exact desktop, and it worked.

i personally never use most of the native os x app like chat or mail, or even dashboard. i use an android phone and i use google voice for my primary phone number, and for which i use the chrome extension.

never even used the app store.
