'This vehicle is limited to 70mph' is clearly going 85mph down the middle of the M62.

85mph on the M62? Bollocks, think you meant 8.5mph
Easy to do it eastbound after J31.
Going westbound is absolutely fine. Going eastbound, near Manchester, no chance.
I'd take that over a pair of "limited to 50mph" lorries, engaged in an overtaking maneuver that can be measured in counties.
Maybe you misread it and it said 70kmph, and being a British van, it didn't really know what a km was.

Maybe your speedometer's on the blink and other drivers are moaning at you for driving 55mph on the motorway?
On the M27 everybody does 55mph...
At 2am, otherwise it's nearer 5.5mph
Downhill?
Nah, I started from the rocket (start of the M62) which is an uphill ramp after that it's pretty flat, just that stretch he was clearly going faster than the left lane which can vary from 50 to 70. I was behind the van going 70 and it was pulling away from me I'm only guesstimating at 15 over the limit it was more than likely closer to 10 over.
I was behind the van going 70
Of course you were, exactly 70, like every good citizen.
;)
Must not have one of those speed checkers on it.
let me guess, it's a white works van?
Burgundy actually, I can't remember what trade/company it was though atleast it wasn't marked as such on the back of the van.
You can often bypass the speed limiter with a length of wire. If the police/VOSA catch the driver doing it he's for the high-jump.
If he's going to do a big jump, it's a good thing he bypassed the limiter!
